OVERVIEW

I am an educational psychologist and Lecturer in the department of Educational Psychology at Stellenbosch University. My work brings together school teaching, higher education, psychological practice, and learner support. I am currently completing a Doctor of Education at the University of Johannesburg.

My research interests include school mental health, school violence, and social justice, with a focus on the risk and resilience factors affecting students and teachers. In my clinical and teaching work, I support children, adolescents, families, and emerging professionals through assessment, intervention, consultation, and education.

My approach is holistic and informed by Ubuntu. I believe that understanding each person’s needs and context is essential to creating inclusive learning environments where people can feel a sense of belonging and thrive.
