My research focuses on applied microeconometrics and development economics, with particular interests in:

• Inequality, poverty, and economic exclusion
• Identity, social comparison, and subjective wellbeing
• Redistribution and political economy
• Labour markets, education, and social mobility
• Applied econometrics and causal inference
• Machine learning and data science for the social sciences
• Economics education and the scholarship of teaching and learning

Across these areas, I seek to generate evidence that improves our understanding of how individuals interact with economic and social institutions, and how policy can foster more inclusive and equitable development.
