OVERVIEW
Linke Potgieter’s research focuses on the application of Operations Research, mathematical and simulation modelling, and complex systems methodologies to real-world societal and industry challenges. Her work spans healthcare and ecological systems, where differential equation modelling, optimisation, agent-based simulation, and decision modelling are applied to support decision-making in complex environments. She has supervised research across diverse areas, including epidemic modelling, agricultural pest management, healthcare scheduling, logistics optimisation, and resource allocation. Her research combines strong methodological rigour in mathematical modelling and simulation with an interdisciplinary and applied orientation that enables practical impact.
