I specialize on Forest Genomics and have formal training in Statistics and Bioinformatics. I obtained my PhD from the University of Pretoria in 2013, after which my work has centered on leveraging data science to drive innovation in genome-assisted breeding for tropical pines. My goal is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge genomic research and practical applications in forestry, advancing the sustainable improvement of tree breeding programs in South Africa.
