Dr Madimabe Tebele is a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science of the Faculty of Military Science at Stellenbosch University. She completed a BA Development and Management Degree majoring in Political Studies, Public Governance and Law from North-West University (NWU). She also holds a BA Honours Degree, a Master’s Degree, as well as a PhD – all in Political Studies from NWU. Furthermore, she is a qualified Academic Lecturer as she holds a Post – Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Education which she obtained from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Some of her academic achievements includes being a ‘Golden Key International Honour Society’ member – Effective from 2013; competing in the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) Competition and being awarded ‘Doctoral 2nd Runner Up – 2021’; participating in the “Contested Governance” Summer School hosted by Arnold Bergstraesser Institute (ABI) in conjunction with Freiburg University in Freiburg, Germany which was exclusively offered to current DAAD In-Country/In-Region scholarship holders – taking place from 2 – 28 September 2019; and being nominated for the 'Francesco Kjellberg Award for Outstanding Papers Presented by New Scholars' at the 27th International Political Science Association (IPSA) conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina; 15 -19 July 2023.

Prior to joining Stellenbosch University in 2022, Madimabe Tebele was a Staff Development Fellow (Assistant Lecturer) from 2017 at the School for Social and Government Studies (NWU). She also has been a guest Lecturer at Arnold Bergstraesser Institute and the ‘Hochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung’ in Kehl, Germany. In addition, she has also been invited to give lectures in Giessen (2018), Berlin (2019) and Tromso (2024). Above all, she thrives in seeking new scientific knowledge in her field of study and related disciplines, and as well as undertaking life with a touch of humour and humility.
