My teaching experience includes a period of more than 20 years at two research-intensive universities and I am the recipient of teaching awards as model teacher in 2020 and 2021. I have been involved in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I have also developed and taught several modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I have developed soft skills courses while working in the private sector. My teaching involvement includes lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, distance education, and corporate training, hybrid and in person. Some of my teaching activities include/d the development of honours programme modules and a research module at master’s level.

My research interests include childhood adversity and youth violence with a special interest in family murder.
