OVERVIEW
Meticulous, versatile and team-player are words that aptly describe me. I trained as a statistician. My career to date has almost entirely been within the tertiary teaching, learning and research space. My fields of interest include, data analytics, machine learning and statistical genetics. I had a short, successful and significant stint in the financial investment industry as a quantitative analyst. My academic and professional journeys are filled with tales of persistence, positivity and triumph. So, I have benefitted immensely from brilliant mentors. I am therefore convinced of the importance of selfless leadership and human capacity development. These attributes have, for example, guided my teaching methods and they are evident in my research activities. They also inspire the kind of initiatives that I commit to. In sum, I strive to continuously sharpen my expertise by seeking challenging yet interesting opportunities that directly add value to my immediate and extended communities.
