Dr Susanna S van Wyk is a researcher and lecturer at the Centre for Evidence-Based Health Care, Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Department of Global Health, Stellenbosch University. She has a background in medicine and clinical epidemiology. Susan collaborates in conducting TB-related systematic reviews and qualitative evidence syntheses to inform national and international guidelines. She teaches evidence-based healthcare and research methodology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Her recent contributions to science have primarily revolved around conducting systematic reviews within the domain of infectious diseases, mostly TB. She has conducted various types of reviews, including diagnostic test accuracy reviews, scoping reviews, and qualitative evidence syntheses.
