I am an Electronic and Nuclear Detection Engineer, with a PhD in Computer and Electronic Engineering from North-West University, South Africa, obtained in 2015. My career began as an R&D engineer in the industry, where I developed advanced cryptographic systems. In pursuit of a passion for academia, I transitioned to Stellenbosch University's Faculty of Military Science as a Senior Lecturer in Military Technology. Since 2019, I have served as the Head of the Department of Military Technology. While my roots lie in engineering, I have expanded my expertise into the natural sciences, particularly geophysics, with a strong research focus on radiation measurement and detection.
