San Schmutz, is a full-time lecturer within the Division of Physiotherapy and the Department of Health Professions Education (DHPE) at Stellenbosch University. She holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Health Professions Education, earned in 2017. Her journey in academia began with her graduation as physiotherapist from SU in 1997. She is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and is the clinical coordinator for final year physiotherapy students. She is passionate about learning in the workplace and the development and support of both staff and students. Her research focus includes clinical training, specifically feedback. She is currently registered for a PhD within the DHPE.
