I joined the Faculty of Military Science (Military Academy) in December 1999 and am currently a commander in the SA Navy. I have since been the HoD of Nautical Science, situated in the Division for Defense Science and Technology. I am also the program coordinator for the Technology and Defense Management program.

I completed my BSc Mil degree in Physics and Nautical Science, MSc in Operational Oceanography (UCT) and PhD in Applied Operational Oceanography (UCT).
