Dr. Carel van Heerden is the Unit Manager of the DNA Sequencing facility at Stellenbosch University’s Central Analytical Facility (CAF). With extensive experience in molecular biology and genetics, Carel has been instrumental in advancing the facility’s capabilities since its inception in 1997. He oversees the operation of cutting-edge sequencing technologies, providing essential support for a wide range of research projects.
