Graduated in 1999 with a PhD-degree in Geology at Copenhagen University (Denmark), followed by two post-doc projects in South Africa, a two-year lecturing position at UKZN (Durban, SA) and eventually as a Senior Lecturer at Department of Geology (later Earth Sciences), Stellenbosch University, since January 15, 2010. Retiring by the end of 2027.
