OVERVIEW

Associate Professor and (current) Head of the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at Stellenbosch University, where he oversees academic programmes in Statistics and Mathematical Statistics, Actuarial Science, Financial Risk Management, and Data Science. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of the Free State (2011).  Alongside his academic work, he brings experience in biostatistics consulting and clinical trials, and has published more than 46 journal articles, earning an H-index of 17.
