OVERVIEW

Dr Claire Walker is a sport scientist, coach, researcher, and data analyst specialising in athlete monitoring and training loads. Her work draws on principles from coaching science, motor learning, periodisation, athlete monitoring, and statistical analysis to explore how athletes train for and cope with physical and physiological demands. She has a particular interest in health, performance and data analysis within team and extreme sports, applying statistical methods to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for coaches and athletes. Her focus spans from basic session tracking to the complexities of longitudinal monitoring platforms across multiple teams and seasons, with an added passion for youth sports and how sound monitoring practices can support athletes' long-term development. Claire is dedicated to advancing our understanding of how load is prescribed and monitored throughout every stage of an individuals athletic and/or sporting career.
