She holds a PhD in Psychology, with expertise in conducting longitudinal cognitive and behavioral assessments of children in low-income countries. Her research interests extend to cross-cultural assessments, particularly in adapting and developing fair cross-cultural tests. Over the past decade, she has been involved in the field of HIV pediatrics. In her current role as a neurocognitive research specialist at Stellenbosch University, she manages a project investigating the longitudinal effects of in utero exposure to HIV and antiretroviral treatment on child development.
