Professor of Marine biogeochemistry and environmental geochemistry. 

My research interests involve understanding of elemental cycling in low-temperature aquatic environments. This includes the role of bioactive trace metals in ocean processes within Southern and Atlantic oceans, which are linked to primary production and climate modulation. I am also interested in hydrogeochemistry where I study contamination and transport of novel and persistent pollutants in freshwater environments.  I teach various aspects of environmental geochemistry to our third year and Honors students.
