The Bachelier Finance Society (BFS) World Congress is the flagship international conference in mathematical finance, held biennially and bringing together the world's foremost researchers, practitioners, and students working at the intersection of finance, mathematics, and probability. In 2028, the Congress reaches a historic milestone: for the first time since its founding, the BFS World Congress will be hosted on African soil. Stellenbosch University is proud to welcome the global quantitative finance community to Stellenbosch, South Africa, from 17–21 July 2028, for the 14th edition of this landmark event. Delegates can look forward to a rich scientific programme featuring distinguished keynote speakers, invited sessions, and contributed talks spanning the breadth of mathematical finance — from asset pricing and risk management to stochastic control and financial technology. Beyond the science, BFS 2028 offers a chance to experience Stellenbosch itself: a historic university town nestled among mountains and world-renowned vineyards in the heart of the Cape Winelands. It's a fitting setting for a Congress that, for the first time, brings this global community to Africa.
