Specialist obstetrician-gynecologist and senior lecturer at Stellenbosch University, currently pursuing a PhD under the guidance of Professors Cluver and Bergman. Her academic journey includes a BSc in Physiology and Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town (UCT), an MBChB from WITS University, and a Master’s degree from Stellenbosch University. Dr. Knipe has served as a consultant in the department ince 2021.

A passionate advocate for improving the patient-doctor experience, Dr. Knipe is dedicated to making obstetrics and gynecology—a specialty that can often feel invasive and daunting—more accessible, safe, accommodating, and even enjoyable for patients. Her work is driven by a vision of transforming the care experience while fostering a positive and supportive environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
